Continue ShoppingI started cutting my own trails in the bush around Perth at 13, and got the mountain bike racing mountain bug well over twenty years ago. I've completed 25+ international mountain bike stage races and know what the pointy end of the field looks like, on a good day!
My passion for all things two wheeled ranges from singlespeeds to fat bikes, lightweight race machines to cyclocross alongside experience in design, prototyping and testing of bikes and apparel. You can usually find me exploring the Perth Hills and surrounds whilst planning my next adventure. I spend an inordinate amount of time procrastinating about great bike rides to be completed and more importantly, what bike to buy for each one.
Having spent a decade as a field engineer from the Arctic to the Middle East, I returned to Western Australia a few years ago. My management skills and hands-on experience give me insight into both the strategic and operational sides of project delivery. I've ridden the Munda Biddi since it's inception and am passionate about upgrading sections of the Trail and linking the Munda Biddi through to other areas of the state as more trails are developed.
As Treasurer, my focus is on managing finances, risk and governance and ensuring we deliver on our strategic goals for the benefit of our stakeholders.
Our Trail is already a great resource for riders. We have an opportunity to develop and promote the Munda Biddi towards local and international recognition providing adventure tourists an amazing experience, while supporting Western Australian community and business along the route. I have ridden many sections of the trail and the full end to end ride is on my bucket list (definitely north to south!).
I am a Chartered Accountant and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. As an owner of an accounting practice, Porters CA, our offices in Perth and Albany deal with clients along the length of the trail.

I'm a passionate cyclist who has done several long-distance bike packing trips and I ride three to four days a week on road and mountain bikes. I graduated as a Software Engineer from the University of Western Australia then spent the next 20 years working in Canada both developing software and managing teams of programmers. When not working I spent most of my time playing in the mountains near Vancouver (mountain biking, snowboarding, mountaineering and rock climbing). In 2008 I relocated to Dunsborough, Western Australia, and a few years later started a small company developing Apps.
The Apps I've created include the Munda Biddi Trail Guide App and the Cape to Cape Track Guide App. I've done two end-to-end trips on the Munda Biddi and think the trail's so good that I volunteered to help the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation realise its vision of making it one of the world's great off-road cycling trails.
Cycling has always been a part of my life.  This now involves commuting 2-3 times a week and the occasional long-distance cycle tour. I was an early user of the Munda Biddi and ride at least one multi-day section of the Munda Biddi each year. I am passionate about developing the Munda Biddi and off-road cycle trails generally, for anyone who has a sense of adventure and can ride a bike.
When not riding, I am a lawyer with over 35 years’ experience in a variety of legal roles. For the past 20 years I have specialised in complex estate planning, estate administration and disputed estates. I have experience in not-for-profit organisations at a senior volunteer level, including related industry bodies and school councils. I also provide pro-bono legal services to vulnerable people. I am privileged to spend time with my 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
Bike riding has always been part of my life – some of my earliest and fondest memories are of riding around Rotto as a kid.
Fast forward – a year in London saw me buy a cyclocross bike (n+1), on returning to Perth I started racing the Numbat Cup with WACX and spent a lot of time gravel riding with friends.
Being the mum of two young kids I get out less on the gravel, still an avid cyclocross racer and commute every day – sometimes with the kids in tow on our cargo bike. The future will be more commuting, bike riding on holidays, including spending time on the Munda Biddi with my family – we’re so incredibly lucky to have it on our doorstep.
Professionally I am an experienced water and transport industry professional with experience in Australia, Hong Kong and London. I have experience with not-for-profits and NGOs boards and committees in the water, transport and sustainability fields.
