Munda Biddi Trail Foundation Membership Terms & Conditions

1.  Purchase of Membership

Membership of the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation may be purchased by application in the prescribed manner, currently online through www.mundabiddi.org.au.

By purchasing or renewing a MBTF membership, members agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, and the policies of the Foundation.


Once a membership or renewal application is accepted, the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation will issue a payment confirmation electronically, within five business days. Paid members will receive instructions on how to access entitlements.
The MBTF reserves the right not to accept any membership or renewal application, at its absolute discretion.

2. Term of Membership

Membership is yearly or three-yearly from the date a membership or renewal application is accepted. Individuals who join on Feb 4th 2022, for example, would remain a member until Feb 3rd 2023, or Feb 3rd 2025, depending on the length of membership purchased.

3. Membership Categories


  1. Junior
    1. The applicant must be at least 5 years of age and under the age of 15 on the date of membership or renewal application. For 3-year junior memberships, the applicant must be under 12 years of age at the date of renewal. This category of membership has no voting rights at MBTF general meetings. 
  2. Individual

    1. For members over the age of 15 years. This is the most common type of membership for individuals, entitling you to all member benefits.

  3. Concession
    1. Pensioner - Pensioner concession is available to members holding a pensioner concession card issued by Centrelink, the Department of Health and Community Services, the Department of Community Services or the Department of Veteran Affairs. To apply for concession membership, a copy of the pension card must be emailed to admin@mundabiddi.org.au Pension cards must be valid for the period of membership (1 or 3 years.) 

    2. Seniors - Individual seniors who are over 60 years of age and working less than 25 hours per week.

    3. Students - Student concession is available to members studying full-time for the period of membership. To apply for student concession, a copy of the member’s student card, or a photocopy of a stamped and receipted enrolment form from the educational institution at the time of application, must be emailed to admin@mundabiddi.org.au 

  4. Family
    1. For a 1-year membership, one adult and their partner/spouse and 2 children under the age of 15. For a 3-year membership, one adult and their partner/spouse and 2 children under the age of 12. If there are more than 2 children, the family will need to take out a junior membership for each extra child.
  5. Affiliated Business / Organisation

    1. A membership for any non-tourism organisation, school or club wishing to be associated with the Foundation to support the Munda Biddi. Member benefits are only available to the main contact person. This category of membership has one vote at MBTF general meetings. 


  6. Life
    1. Life Members from the previous paid membership scheme are eligible for all paid member benefits in the new scheme, please get in touch.

4. Payment

Payment terms are strictly in accordance with the payment schedule stipulated on the renewal invoice, emailed to members.
The membership or renewal applicant must fully pay their account as specified in the payment terms. Intention to renew must be provided to the Foundation prior to the closing date specified on the renewal invoice. If full payment is not received within the agreed payment terms, the membership may be forfeited.
In general, payments are non-refundable if a member changes their mind regarding their membership purchase. If an account is referred to debt collection services, the member will be liable for any fees, charges, disbursements and commissions relating to collection of the debt, in addition to the membership payment.

 

5. GST and Levies

Except where expressly noted, all prices include GST and any applicable levies.

6. Refund policy

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation is under no obligation to refund or credit payments relating to a membership, either in full or in part, unless required by law. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit, restrict or exclude rights available under Australian Consumer Law. In general, the Foundation does not offer refunds or credit due to a change of mind or a change in personal circumstances.

7. Cancellation policy

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation reserves the right to cancel any membership at the club’s discretion.

8. When membership ceases

A person ceases to be a member when any of the following takes place—
    1.    for an Ordinary Member or Junior Member, the individual dies;

    2.    for a member that is an Organisation, the organisation is wound up or otherwise ceases to exist;

    3.    the member resigns from the Association under rule 11;

    4.    the member is expelled from the Association under rule 16;

    5.    the member ceases to be a member under rule 13(4);

    6.    the member fails to pay any membership fees that may be set from time to time.

The secretary must keep a record, for at least one year after a member ceases to be a member, of the date on which the member ceased to be a member; and the reason why the member ceased to be a member.

9. Resignation

A member may resign from membership of the Association by giving written notice of the resignation to the secretary. The resignation takes effect—
    1.    when the secretary receives the notice; or

    2.    if a later time is stated in the notice, at that later time.

    3.    A person who has resigned from membership of the Association remains liable for any fees that are owed to the Association (the owed amount) at the time of resignation.

    4.    The owed amount may be recovered by the Association in a court of competent jurisdiction as a debt due to the Association.


10. Transfer policy

The rights of a member are not transferable and end when membership ceases.

11. Privacy

All personal information that you provide will be used only for the administration of the Foundation. Members of the Foundation may inspect the membership records free of charge by arrangement with the secretary via admin@mundabiddi.org.au.

12. Amendments

The Munda Biddi Trail Foundation reserves the right to amend, from time to time, the terms and conditions of MBTF membership and the Foundation policies, without prior notice. Members will have no claim against the Foundation by reason of any change made to the terms and conditions of Foundation membership or MBTF policies.
